2 x 4 cylinder 100hp Yanmar marine diesel engines fitted with 2:1 Hurth hydraulic gearboxes driving 2 x 3 blade contra-rotating propellers on 35mm diameter stainless steel shafts giving a maximum speed of 17 knots, cruising around 13 knots at 3,000 rpm.

Each engine has been run for approx 487 hours with both Turbos being recently refurbished
Fuel consumption at 14 knots is approximately 2.0 gallons per hour per engine.
Twin cast brass rudders with a hydraulic steering system and manual backup.

Each engine has its own electrical and fuel systems for reliability. This includes separate fuel tanks, fuel pumps and starter batteries. These batteries can be cross connected via switching.
A separate battery is included for domestic services and lighting.
Mains Power from the shore provides 240v services to the steering position and in the cabin. It also feeds a high-tech battery charger to maintain the charge on each of the three batteries.
The voltage of each of the three batteries can be monitored from the steering position.
